Kent J. DeShaw, 85, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2022 at home.
He was born in Troy, NY May 31, 1936 to the late Bernard and Mary DeShaw.
Kent was an avid stamp collector. He enjoyed quiet mornings on the farm, drinking coffee and reading his bible.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by daughters Violetta Marie Cooney, Amanda DeShaw son Bernard J. DeShaw, sister Barbara Wilcox and brother Wayne DeShaw.
Kent is survived by his loving children Kent C. DeShaw, John Paul DeShaw, Tammy C. Meyer, Jack E. DeShaw, Ronald D. DeShaw, grandchildren Robert R. Twiss II, Edgar G. Twiss, Joseph M. Meyer, Seth DeShaw, Gabrielle Gustin, Allison Wright, Angelia Curry, Stephen Rowe, James Rowe, Danielle DeShaw, Anthony Zimmer and Isabella Johnson, as well as several great grandchildren and his beloved cat Missy.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 10:00am-11:00am, with Funeral Services to follow at, New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd, Watervliet NY, 12189
Interment to follow in the Albany Rural Cemetery.
