Kevin F. Shortis

COLONIE – Kevin F. Shortis, 57, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Frances and Anna Shortis.
Kevin worked for South Co., Inc. for eight years, and the South Colonie Central School District for ten years. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his 1981 Goldwing motorcycle. Those who knew Kevin, knew Kevin.
Along with his parents, Kevin was predeceased by his sister, Kim Barnum.
He is survived by the love of his life, Donna Parker; son Edward Shortis; sister Kathy Shortis; four step-children and eleven step-grandchildren. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eddy Visiting Nurses Association, 2212 Burdette Avenue, Troy, NY 12180 in Kevin's name.
