Cohoes - Kevin G. Greene, 60, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at his home. Kevin was the son of the late William and Eula M. Croley Greene.
Kevin was born in Albany, NY but spent his early years growing up in Rensselaer, NY where he developed a love for comic books. He both read and collected them. He loved anything to do with Marvel Comics and he had an almost encyclopedic knowledge of them. He enjoyed running off to play in the woods with his best friend William McGuire playing paintball and shooting BB-guns. He also enjoyed skateboarding. Kevin loved cooking and it was not uncommon for him to prepare a large roast with potatoes and vegetables. Kevin moved to Albany, NY during his teen years and graduated from Albany High School. After graduating he served in the Navy and was honorably discharged.
Kevin leaves to mourn his children Vanesia Brundage, Deshaun Flowers and Shalinda Flowers. His grandchildren, Kiera Hosington, Jamichael King and Kaiferrus Greene. He also leaves his great grandchildren, Ezra and Millie Marie.
Kevin is survived by his brothers William Greene, Michael Greene (Joann) and Kenneth Greene. His sisters Ruth (Willie) Tarrance, Doris Leigh, Patricia (Michael) Thomas, Vanessa (Tony) Henderson and a sister in law Barbara Greene. He was predeceased by a brother Randolph Greene. Kevin is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He leaves to mourn his best friend William McGuire and his daughter Heather McGuire.
Just the family and close friends will be gathering at the home of Doris Leigh for a small intimate meal in Kevin's honor.
