Kevin A. Hayes
August 8, 1965 — January 30, 2019
Watervliet - Kevin A. Hayes, 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long, hard, battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. He was the son of the late William and Jane Hayes.
Kevin graduated from Watervliet High School, class of 1983. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business from SUNY New Paltz. He then went on to be employed by the State of New York, for the past 28 years, where he will be missed by his many friends.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoyed handicapping horses and going to tracks in New York and Florida, especially Saratoga. He was an avid Giants fan, and loved watching sports. He also loved traveling, and going to concerts with his buddies, Shawn, Norm, and Mike. They were loyal to Kevin to the very end.
He will be forever missed by his siblings, Paul (Susan) Hayes, Brian Hayes, Cynthia (George) McNeff, and Cathy (Kyle) Campbell, nieces and nephews, Paul, and Mike Hayes, Bill, and Julie McNeff, Rebecca, and Kaitlin Campbell, and great nephew, Reidar McNeff.
In keeping with Kevin's wishes, the services and burial will take place privately by the family.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Colleen, Eileen, and Wendy for the comfort and care they provided to Kevin.
