Kevin Koch, 54, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. Kevin, born in Albany, is the son of Walter and Lynn Koch.
He was an engineer with Honeywell Friction Materials for over 27 years. He loved to fix anything mechanical and helping others. He enjoyed motorcycling and everything to do with the outdoors. He was also a member of the Rensselear Elks, Lodge 2073.
He was preceded in death by his natural mother, Henrietta (Burns) Koch.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Sacca) of over 24 years, he is the cherished father of Jamie (Matthew) Thomas, Jason (Andrea Preville) McCarthy and Austin Koch. He is the adored "Poppi" of Madelyn Rose Thomas and his soon to be grandson due in December 2014. He is the gaurdian of Nicholas Sacca; the brother of Michael Koch. He is also survived by his mother and father in-law, Jeanne and Albert Sacca and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close family and friends and his canine companion Blu.
The family would like to thank the entire staff with St. Peters ALS Center for all of the care and compassion given to Kevin.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
