Kevin L. Trunko

DELMAR – Kevin L. Trunko, 56, formerly of Colonie, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Elizabeth "Betty" and Joseph Trunko.
Kevin retired after 33 years of service between the NYS Department of Transportation and NYS Thruway Authority. He was a member of the Bethlehem Community Church. In his free time, he enjoyed Jigsaw puzzles, biking, reading, visiting wineries, and playing games. He also liked telling jokes and making people smile and laugh.
Kevin is survived by his special love, Gisela "Gigi" Garver of Delmar; son Ryan (fiancé Katie) Trunko of Colonie; daughter Jillian Trunko of Albany; brothers Kenneth J. (Virginia) Trunko of Rotterdam and Keith W. (Barbara) of Bristow, VA; nieces and nephews Kimberly of San Diego, Lauren of Boston, Justin and Tyler, both of Bristow.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delmar Rescue Squad, 145 Adams Street, Delmar, NY 12054, in Kevin's name.
