TROY---Kevin J. McClure, Jr. age 34, passed away surrounded by his family on May 3, 2019.
He was born in Troy, the son of Kevin McClure Sr. and the late Gloria J. McClure.
He was a protector of his family and friends and always went out of his way to help people in need. He was a chicken wing enthusiast and the entertainer at many family events. He was a lover of sports and music. Kevin's most recent achievement was completing his certification to become a Recovery Counselor with Rensselaer County.
Kevin is survived by his father Kevin Sr.; 4 sisters: Kimberly (John) MacAllister, Karen (Victor Clavell) McClure, Jennifer (Jason) Finning and Mariah (Terry) McClure; five nieces: Gianna, Brianna, Sophia, Harper and Addison; three nephews: John Jr., Vincenzo and Parker. Also survived by many other family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A service will follow at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kevin's memory may be made to the Kevin McClure Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o CAPCOM FCU, 100 Van Rensselaer Square, Rensselaer, NY 12144. Donations will be used to support individuals who are in recovery at local recovery events in the Capital District.
