Kevin D. O'Connell , 69, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born in Glens Falls, on June 9, 1949, Kevin was the son of the late Maurice and Mary (Barrett) O'Connell. He was the devoted husband of Marie L. (Cadalso) O'Connell and they were married 47 years.

Kevin was a graduate of Albany High School and had attended Hudson Valley Community College studying business. He was a lifelong resident of Albany and worked in the automotive industry and later on was the proprietor of a personal car service.

Kevin's Hobbies and interests horse racing and he found enjoyment with the time he spent with his family, his grandkids and the friendships developed through the car business. Kevin will be remembered for his great personality, always laughing and light hearted spirit.


Survived by his wife Marie L. (Cadalso) O'Connell, his children; Kevin M. O'Connell (Christine) and Lori Severino (James), his grandchildren (who he was "Papa" to:) Taylor, Teagan, Jake and Sloane. Also survived by his sister Rita Gleason from West Palm Beach, Fla., as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 22, at the Mater Christi Parish, 40 Hopewell St, Albany, NY 12208. Please assemble at the church. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 139 S Lake Ave, Albany, NY 12208.
