It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Kevin Michael VanDermark, on Thursday morning, December 26th, 2024. Kevin was born on May 8th, 1982, and his death has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Kevin is lovingly remembered by his father, John D. VanDermark (Jack), and stepmother, Rhea VanDermark; his mother, Patricia Hitchcock, and stepfather, Walter Hitchcock (Walt); his brothers, John (Finn) VanDermark, Brian VanDermark, Joshua (Honeylee) Temblador, and Michael (Priscyla) Temblador. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly.
A truly kind and easygoing soul, Kevin had a special gift for making friends wherever he went. He was a man who radiated warmth, generosity, and a love for life. He found joy in the simple things—camping, golfing, and spending time with loved ones. Kevin was a lifelong Michigan Wolverines fan and the world will be a little quieter without him cheering them on. His spirit will be especially missed at Saratoga Lake where he brought fun and camaraderie to every visit.
A Memorial Visitation will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 10:00am - 12:00pm with a Time of Sharing to begin at 12:00pm, at New Comer Cremation and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, a cause close to Kevin’s heart, as he was an avid animal lover, particularly passionate about dogs. Charity link to follow, but please visit their website for donation information at www.saratogacountyanimalshelter.com
Kevin’s memory will live on in our hearts forever.
