Albany- Kim Y. French, 56, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 11, 2017.
Kim was born March 8, 1961 in Albany, NY and was a life long resident. She was a hard working woman as a toll collector for the NYS Thruway for 23 years.
She is survived by her mother Dorothy Cannon, father, Kenneth French and Ernest Cannon , Jr. She is also survived by her three children, Faizah (Jermaine) Broadus, Xavier Young and Jordan (Tatianna) Young, two adopted children that she adopted as her own, Bruce Young, Jr. and Anjelica B, five grandchildren: David Jr., Deontae and Adriyana Edmonds, Aaliyah Broadus and Jordan Young, Jr.
She also leaves behind her five sisters: La'Taunya French, Jinaki Cannon, Carmen, Judy and Kelly French her four brothers: Ernest Cannon, III (Rondene), Guy, Keith and Jamal French & numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Frances and Roy Broner.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A funeral service will follow starting at 2:00pm.
