SELKIRK - Kirt A. Kunkle, 47, passed away suddenly Friday, July 25, 2014 in his home.
Born in Albany, he was the son of Patricia (Tricarico) Kunkle and the late Frederick L. Kunkle. Kirt was a 1985 graduate of Guilderland Central High School. Kirt served two years in the United States Army receiving an honorable discharge in 1989.
Kirt was a beyond devoted father to his son Logan and daughter Mackenzie. His sole passion was the happiness and success of his family. Kirt recently found joy in caring for his four legged companions with S'more always by his side.
Survivors include his wife Michele (Tymann) Kunkle, son Logan F., daughter Mackenzie A. Also survived by his brother Daniel (Margaret) Kunkle of Ballston Spa, sister Carrie Ann Myers of Clifton Park. Surviving in-laws include mother-in-law Suzanne Tymann, sister-in-law Deborah (James) Helfer, and brother-in-law Christophe Tymann. He is also survived by several cherished nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in Kirt's honor at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 with calling hours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Kirt's name to Pepper Tree Rescue, Albany, New York.
