Albany- Lamissa D. Harrington, 38, of Albany, passed away suddenly on May 26, 2021.
Born in Albany, she is the daughter of Michael and Dorothy Harrington.
Lamissa was a loving soul with the biggest heart of gold. She loved her family and her friends with her whole being and would do anything for anyone. She was a light in this world for many people and she was loved by everyone who crossed her path.
She was a devoted mother to her baby boy Jojo and she strived to give him the best of the best in this world. From going to his football games, taking him swimming and camping, to making sure he had the best bikes and dirt bikes. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for him.
She was extremely fond of spending time with her nieces, nephews and great nephews who delightedly referred to her as their Titi. She loved the Lord and attended various churches over the years. She donated money to her favorite causes, St Jude's Children's hospital being her favorite.
She worked many different jobs throughout the years and enjoyed working with people and the public. She was hands on and caring and gave her all at everything she did. Picking up so many friends along the way every place she went.
Lamissa is survived by her loving parents, Son Jozyia, Twin Brother Michael (Angie), Sister Dea, Brother Cory, Cousin Ethel, Jojo's dad Haneef, Best friends Marinda and Rob as well as a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Nieces: Makayla & Sophia. Nephews: Tyler (Destini), Eli (Alexa) and Jayden. Great Nephews: Cayden & Cameron
Visitation will be held Wednesday June 2, 2021, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Colonie, New York. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 3, 2021 at 10:30 at Immanuel Lutheran Church 1850 Union St, Niskayuna, NY 12309 with burial to follow at Memory Gardens resting peacefully next to Poppa Robert.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.
