Lana Smith

ALBANY-Lana E. Smith, 64, of Fairfield Ave., Albany passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. She was born Alhambra, CA, the daughter of Edgar R. and Ellen C. Carrell Walker. One of her greatest joys in life was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lana was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was committed to her faith, giving endless service throughout her life and blessing the lives of so many. She will be remembered for her ever-present smile, example of charity, service, faith and steadfastness in following the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. Her family and faith were the focal point of her life. Lana possessed many talents. Through her talents and creativity she brought beauty and joy to the lives of many.
She is survived by her children: , George (Christine) Smith of PA, Robin (David) Hollingworth of CA, Merri Steed of NY, Chris (Becky) Smith of UT, Kevin (Natalie) Smith of OK, and Brian Smith of NY. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, her siblings Nancy, Gary, Trena, Mark, Randy, Sheri and Heidi and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 411 Loudon Road in Loudonville.
Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
