June 24, 1949 — March 29, 2018

Lanaer Johnson, 68, of Bladensburg, Md, passed away peaefully at home on March 29, 2018.

Lanaer was born in Albany, N.Y. to Sybil and the late Larry Johnson, Sr.

She graduated from Guilderland High School. Lanaer went on to study at the State University of New York at Albany. She was employed by Kaiser Permanente in Largos, Md until she retired after 30 years in 2015.

She is the beloved sister of Larry Johnson, Jr. (Joan) and Jerald Johnson. Left to cherish memories are her niece, Rose Murphy Johnson; nephew, Sean Johnson (Rica); great-nephew, Isaiah Romel; great-niece, Aubrey Lynn and a host of cousins, colleagues and friends.

She was predeceased by her brother, Gary Johnson and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Lanaer's family wishes to offer a Special Thanks to the staff of Community Hospice.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Macedonia Baptist Church at 12pm. Visitation will begin at 10am at the church prior to services. Interment will immediately follow service at Evergreen Memorial Park, Albany, N.Y.
