Laraine A. Green-Sanderson

DELANSON – Laraine A. "Mimi" Green-Sanderson, 60, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn. Born and raised in Colonie, she was the daughter of Ann Costeniuc and the late George Costeniuc. Laraine fought a courageous and inspirational battle against breast cancer. She was a beloved mother, wife and grandmother.

Laraine worked for the New York State Department of Corrections and retired after 36 years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed crafts, traveling, tending to her flower garden and an avid reader. Laraine was a cat lover and most of all cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Along with her father, Laraine was predeceased by her grandson, Aiden.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Roger L. Sanderson, children Nathaniel and Jessica, and grandchildren Andrew and Alexa.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 5:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 2:00 at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
