Laraine Kuchis

COLONIE – Laraine J. Kuchis, 55, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 15, 2005, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, she is the beloved daughter of Stella Kuchis and the late William Kuchis. Laraine has been a resident of Colonie for forty years. She graduated from Siena College with a bachelor's degree and worked for 33 years with the N.Y. S. Division of Criminal Justice Services. Laraine was an active communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. She was an avid New York Yankee and New York Giants fan. In addition to her beloved mother, she is the devoted sister of George (Donna) Kuchis, Diane (Eric) Reinhart and Anthony (Michelle) Kuchis. She is the cherished aunt of Derek and Corey Reinhart and Nicholas, Emily, Mallory and Andrew Kuchis.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:45 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church at 9:30 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Giving Tree, c/o Our Lady of Mercy Church, 26 Wilson Ave., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Laraine J. Kuchis.
