Larry S. Smith

Larry "Skinny" Smith, 66, passed away on April 9, 2024 in Albany, New York.

Larry was survived by his wife of 38 years, Charlene Smith. Together, they shared a bond built on love, understanding, and companionship.

He was a loving father to the late Gabriel, and Elijah Smith. Although his relationship with Tasha and Chaka was different, Larry cared deeply for all his children and wishes them happiness and fulfillment in their lives.

Although his son Elijah preceded him in death, Larry's memory lives on through his grandson Kareem (Elijah's son), who brought immense joy into his life. Larry was also a beloved grandfather to Qlahn, Evelyn, Ari, Sophia, and Alyssa, children of his daughter Jatee. His love and guidance will forever resonate in their hearts.

Throughout Larry's life he had a passion for fashion and curated an extensive wardrobe of clothes and shoes, showcasing his unique sense of style and flair.

An entrepreneur at heart, Larry ventured into various fields throughout his life, leaving his mark on each endeavor he pursued.

Larry was also a beloved brother to Clarence Thompkins (Ronnie). He was a cherished son-in-law to Evelyn Lucas, and a respected brother-in-law to Jerel, Mac, and Janell. He adored his brother-in-law Jarel, and his memory will forever hold a special place in Jerel's heart.

He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and their friends whose lives he touched with his kindness and generosity.

Larry will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
