Laura A. Des Chenes

PATTERSONVILLE – Laura Ann Des Chenes, 50, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Ellis Hospital suddenly from a pulmonary embolism. She was born April 3, 1961 in Scranton, PA, the daughter of Donald R. and Shirley A. (Loomis) Peifer of Greentown, PA. She was a graduate of Buckhorn High School and worked for 15 years at Swiss Maid in Greentown, PA.
In addition to her parents, Laura is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Robert J. Des Chenes and her loving son, Matthew Des Chenes both of Pattersonville; her stepchildren, Robert J. Des Chenes, Jr. (Jill), Joseph J. Des Chenes and Melissa W. Glastetter (Joel) all of Ballston Spa; her siblings, Donald Peifer Jr. of Conway, SC, Randy Peifer (Cheryl) of Lake Ariel, PA; her grandchildren, Emily and Madelyn Des Chenes and Grace and Jack Glastetter all of Ballston Spa; her nephew, Eric Peifer of Greentown, PA and her nieces, Abby and Hannah Peifer of Lake Ariel, PA.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.
