Laura L. Leitch Risti

COLONIE- Laura L. (Below) Leitch Risti, age 84, went to rest with the angels on Friday, August 20, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Laura was born one of 10 children to the late John and Catherine Below. She was predeceased by her many relatives.

She was a 59 year resident of the Village of Colonie, where she was an exceptional homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She enjoyed bowling, bingo and trips to the casino. She had a special fondness of scratch off lottery tickets, convinced one day she would hit the "big one." In her earlier years, she enjoyed camping, motocross and summer's on Ballston Lake with her children.

Laura is survived by her children: Laura (Alan) Garrison, Lynn (Donald) Weaver, Leann (Joshua) Bond, Robert (Sheridawn) Leitch III, and John (Kimberly) Leitch. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Laura will be terribly missed by her great granddaughter Arianna Leitch, with whom Arianna lived with. Laura provided constant and unwavering love and care for her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Wednesday August 25, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A service will follow at 1 p.m. Interment will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Glenmont.
