Lauren Marie Tanski

COLONIE – Lauren Marie Tanski, 26, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 13, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of Leonard and Linda (Lomonoco) Tanski.
Lauren was a graduate of Colonie High School. She attended both SUNY Cobleskill and Marymount College in Virginia majoring in Journalism with a minor in Photography. Lauren enjoyed sketching, poetry and reading on all aspects social, historical and spiritual. She was a socially active person and a genuine friend to many. Lauren was very strong, kind and spirited. She had the courage to go on any adventure life provided. Lauren had the purest love for her parents and brother, and truly adored her entire extended family.
Along with her parents Leonard and Linda, she is also survived by her brother Christopher and countless loving family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 12:00 pm at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Avenue, Albany. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. At the request of the family, the graveside service will be private.
