SLINGERLANDS – Laurence A. Warner, 81, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home.
Laurence was born on July 10, 1930 in Doraville, NY and was the son of the late Charles and Effie (Moore) Warner. He worked as a custodian for the Bethlehem Central School District in Delmar and then for BOCES in Troy, before retiring in 2003.
Laurence is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Dorothy R. (Wilson) Warner; his devoted sons, Keith L. (Lisa) Warner and David W. Warner; his cherished grandchildren, Cassandra, Jeremy, Brian, Rebecca, Haviland, and Leatha; his sister, Mary Kemmerer; his brothers, Gordon (Marjorie) Warner and Charles (Shirley) Warner and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Dale A. Warner; his brothers, Albert, Richard, and Walter Warner and his sisters, Winifred Barnhart and Doris Shurman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
