Laurence Edward "Larry" Sullivan Sr., 88, of Schenectady, N.Y., passed away on May 27, 2024. He was born on May 22, 1936, in Troy, N.Y. Larry, as he was known to his loved ones, had an amazing sense of humor.
Larry proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his military service, he embarked on a successful career with Otis Elevator, working as an elevator mechanic for 40 years, and eventually retiring as a district manager.
In his free time, Larry indulged in his hobbies, which included riding his motorcycle, golfing, sailing, skiing, and enjoying a good scotch and a cigar. He found joy in these activities throughout his life.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Sullivan; his daughter, Colleen Mulligan, and her husband, Mike Mulligan; his son, Larry Sullivan Jr., and his wife, Audrey Sullivan; as well as his grandchildren, Nicole Handerhan, Cory Larmour, and Michelle Jefferson.
Larry will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his country, and his work. May he rest in peace.
