Laurie E. Burns

NISKAYUNA – Laurie E. Burns, 56, of Niskayuna, passed away on Sunday June 24, 2012 at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Niskayuna and is the beloved daughter of Jean McConnelee Burns of Colonie and the late John H. Burns.
Laurie was a longtime participant of Schenectady ARC and attended the Sky Farm Camp and Pine Ridge Workshop for many years. Laurie enjoyed music and bowling.
She is the cherished sister of John (Martha) Burns and Roy (Lee) Burns. Laurie is the aunt of Tracy Rashford and Kimberly Garzone.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 12 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Schenectady ARC, 214 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12305 in memory of Laurie E. Burns.
