East Berne- Laurie Kernozek, 52, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side after her long battle with illness.
Laurie was a family-oriented and loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother and grandmother. She was heavily involved in charity work and animal rescues making her able to find loving homes for hundreds of dogs. She was very creative with a love for music, sewing and crafts.
Laurie is survived by her loving mother: Beverly; her devoted husband of 33 years: Alexander; her brothers: Richard and Mathew; her children: Joseph, Alexandria, Scott, and Jacquelyn; and her three adored grandchildren: Kristopher, Rhylee, and Alexander along with many nieces/nephews and their families.
Laurie was predeceased by her father, Gregory Sprague, and brother, Steven Sprague.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Friday March 11, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 5:00 p.m.
