Lawrence Andrew Carden, (affectionately known as Andy) depart this Life August 25, 2022 and entered the Kingdom of Heaven with his Loved ones. Andy was born June 26, 1965 to Anna Ferrell Carden and Jack Elmore Carden in South Boston VA. Andy was educated in his earlier years in South Boston Virginia; he later relocated and finish his education in the Albany Public School System. Andy worked for Albany Community Land Trust for many years. Andy was a fast learner and would help anyone on the job. He became so good at what he did that he eventually went into business for himself. If you sat and talk to Andy you would learn a lot. When Andy decided to go into business for his self in the field of carpentry, Milton Horne was his biggest influence. If Andy were alive, he would tell you Milton taught him everything he knew. From sanding floors, to sheet rocking walls, from electrical to plumbing there was no task to hard for Andy. Andy could build you a house, if you gave him the money and the resources that is how talented he was. Andy loved to go fishing, he loved to watch sports especially basketball. He loved to play basketball with family members and brag about how he was the best. He will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory one son Lawrence Andrew Carden Jr. and his partner April, one sister Jacqueline Michelle Carden, one step-daughter Alita (Mush) Britt, 3 grandchildren Tiana Carden, KingLazir Carden and Le'Niyah Carden. 5 nieces and 4 nephews. 2 Aunts, 2 Uncles and a host of cousin's, other relatives and friends.
He is predeceased in death by his mother Anna Carden, his father Jackie Carden,his brother's Gary Carden and Jerome Carden, sisters Minnie Louise Carden and Lisa Carden, his step-son Alton Brett and The love of his life Sandra Walton.
A service of celebration will be held this Friday, September 2, 2022 at 12:00 pm at New Comer Cremation's & Funerals 181 Troy Schenectady Rd. Watervliet New York 12189 with Reverend Kimberly C Hall Officiating. Viewing will begin at 11am. Burial will follow the service in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
