Schenectady – Leda G. Armstrong, 89, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday June 3, 2008.
Born in Schenectady a daughter to the late Arthur and Agnes (Tabor) Smith. Having lost her mother when she was only two, Leda was raised by Jennie Bellerose Smith. She was educated in Schenectady and graduated from the old Nott Terrace High School and was a lifelong area resident.
Leda worked for General Electric for over twenty years as a Lab Technician. Her husband, Robert Armstrong, whom she met at GE, predeceased Leda in 1983. She enjoyed reading, traveling throughout America and camping at Sacandaga Reservoir with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Lesa Armstrong and loving family and friends. Leda was predeceased by her sister, Judy Cummings and her brothers, Kenneth and Douglas Smith.
