Lee Joseph La Belle passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022, at Albany Medical Center. Lee was born on June 15, 1952, in Albany, and was raised in Rensselaer. Lee joined the U.S. Army in 1970 going straight to active duty as part of the 85th USA Artillery Detachment as a perishing missile crewman. He reenlisted in the Army Reserves and National Guard serving until 1984 and earned several medals and accommodations throughout his dedicated service. Lee retired from AT&T (Bell Telephone Co.) and the New York State Department of Transportation.

Lee was an avid motorcyclist who belonged to several different organizations during his life. He was also a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan. Lee was also a friend of Bill W for over 30 years. Lee is survived by his daughter Michele Bendzlowicz, and son Adrien (Ashley) La Belle, grandchildren Haylee & Ayden, Brother Rich (Eileen) La Belle. Lee was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Joan (Hart) La Belle. Lee will be most fondly remembered for his smooth demeanor and independent spirit

Interment will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
