SCOTIA – Lee S. Hatfield, Sr., 74, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital, with his family by his side. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Clarence and Charlotte Hatfield. Lee resided in Albany for most of his life. He served in the National Guard and worked for Lucent Technologies for thirty years before his retirement. Lee was a member of the Guilderland Elks Lodge #2480, Beukendaal Masonic Temple #0915 and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Lee is the beloved husband of Alfreda M. (Charlebois) Hatfield. He is the devoted father of Lee S. Hatfield, Jr., Sandra (Andrew) Conklin and Colleen (Stephen) Bailey and step-father of Richard W. (Sally) Hatfield, Jr. and Harold (Donna) Hatfield, Sr. Lee is the loving brother of Betty (the late Charles) Shadick and the late Earle, Richard and David Hatfield, Mary Rockenstyre and Martha Candido. He is the cherished grandfather of Andy Ortiz. Also surviving are six step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
