Lena Nania , 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Community Hospice at St. Peters with her loving family by her side.
Lena was born in Francavilla, Italy, the daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta Gianetto.
She was a legal secretary for Harvey, Harvey & Mumford in Albany for many years.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Gianetto and her sisters, Nancy Malatino and Nellie Ragone.
Lena is survived by her beloved husband of over 63 years, Salvatore "Sal" Nania; her loving son and daughter-in-law, John M. and Sienna O. Nania of Omaha, NE. and her cherished grandsons, Maxwell A. and Ian A. Nania. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the American Red Cross, 33 Everett Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday May 13, 2015 at 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be on Monday, May 18th at 11:00 am at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, New York.
