Lenworth Ellis

Watervliet – Lenworth Ellis, 60, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 21, 2020. Lenworth was the son of the late Sydney and Margaret Ellis. Lenworth was the husband to Maxine Ellis. They were married for many years.

Lenworth was born on October 19, 1959, and was raised in St. Ann, Jamaica, West Indies, for most of his life, until migrating to the United States. He graduated from Marcus Garvey High School and held many jobs after. The job he loved the most, and was most recognized for, was working as a tour guide, for the Tropical Tour Bus Company.

Lenworth enjoyed singing and listening to music. He would always have a smile on his face, while reminiscing about the olden days of growing up in Jamaica, with family and friends. His favorite food, was Jamaica's national dish, "Ackee and Salt Fish." When not eating that, he loved to cook many other dishes.

Lenworth Ellis, is survived by his wife Maxine, and daughter, Malika. His sisters, Valda, Jennifer, Mae-Valerie, Sonia (predeceased), Carolyn(Trevor), and Melody. He is also, survived by his brothers, Albert(Pamela), and Carlos, along with a host of nieces and nephews, including great-nieces and nephews. He will truly be missed.

Calling hours and service will be held privately by the family.
