SELKIRK – Leo A. Barron, Jr., 78, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2005 at the Albany VA Hospital.
Leo was born on May 16, 1926 in Essex Junction, VT to the late Leo A. and Ethel Packard Barron. He served in the US Marines from 1944 to 1946 attaining the rank of Corporal. He worked as a machine operator at the Ray Bestos Manhattan in Stratford, CT.
Leo enjoyed going to the Saratoga Race Track.
Leo is survived by three sisters, Irene Jabaut and Dorothy Barton, both of Albany and Leona Durand of Waterbury, VT; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Barron; a stepson, Raymond Miller of Conn. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Harold, a brother-in-law, Howard Durand, a sister-in-law, June Barron and a former wife, Mabel Miller.
A committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
Arrangements are being entrusted to the New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home in Colonie, NY.
