HALFMOON – Leo J. Mainville, Sr. 86, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Leo was born in Waterford, NY on November 1, 1936 a son of the late Joseph R. and Emeline (LaMay) Mainville.
Leo left school prior to graduation so he could work to help his parents. He was a laborer and spent most of his working life at Extrudart Metals where he built door frames.
Leo is survived by his children, Leo Mainville Jr. (Nadine), Cathy Jerome (Edward), Ed Mainville (Shannon) and Melissa Hazen. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four brothers; seven sisters and dozens of nieces and nephews. Everybody knew "Uncle Leo" and saw him walking everywhere in Cohoes.
