WATERFORD-Leona F. "Noni" Howard Evely, 85, passed away on July 19, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 18, 1933 daughter of the late Sherman and Bertha Howard in Kingston, NY.
Leona worked for many years at Montgomery Ward and took great pride for the many children she babysat after her retirement. She was a devoted caretaker who always put others ahead of herself. She will be so dearly missed by all those who had the privilege to know and love her.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond W. Evely; grandson, Michael (Jessica) Zupan and their children, Evan and Brayden; her husband's children, Linda (Tom) Moshier, Cindy (Michael) Puleo; her dear friend, Leona Testa and other grandchildren, Chris (Melissa) Suszko and their children, Ava and Coleston and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Althea and Alda and her son, James Zupan.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 6:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Visitation will be from 5:00pm-6:00pm prior to the service. Interment will be on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11:00am at Ashland Cemetery, Windham, NY.
