Leonard H. Winn

Colonie- Leonard H. Winn, 84, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2017 at Van Rensselaer Manor in Troy. Born on March 4, 1933 in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Harold Winn and Myrtle (Barkman) Miller. Leonard served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he began working for Time DC Trucking Company in Colonie for 26 years. More recently he worked for the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle until his retirement in 1997. Leonard was always known for enjoying walks, whether it was to Colonie Center or just around the neighborhood.
Leonard is survived by his sister Helen (Everett) Drobner; his half-sister Marilyn (Richard) Snow; his niece and Goddaughter Sue (Jack) Stratta, his nephew Arthur (Joanne) Drobner and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Leonard's family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of the Van Rennselaer Manor for their loving and compassionate care.
Services for Leonard will be private.
