Lester A. Sheldrick

SCHENECTADY, NY – Lester A. Sheldrick, 68, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy Sheldrick. Mr. Sheldrick was a U.S. Navy veteran serving aboard the U.S.S. Desoto. He retired from Campbell Plastics and then worked for Qualtex as a driver for many years. Lester is survived by his wife, Melody. He is the beloved father of Michael Sheldrick of Niskayuna, Laurie (Dean) Daversa of Rexford, Maryanne Paige of Schenectady, Steven (Fiorella) Sheldrick of Rotterdam, Corinna (Keith) Gordon of Glenville and Leslie Sheldrick of Schenectady. He is the brother of George, Florence, Louise, Barbara and the late Sheila, Margie, Linda and Dorothy. Lester is the cherished grandfather of Christina and Hunter, Tiara and Nicholas, Aaron, Michelle and Kimberly, Michael, Skylar and Stephanie and Caitlin. He is the loving great-grandfather of Adrianna and Gabriella. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
