Lester Thomas

ALBANY, NY – Lester Thomas "Lap", 63, died July 6, 2009 at Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Catherine Armbrester. Lester worked for the Albany City School System before retiring after many years of service. His hobbies included golf and horse racing. Lester is survived by two children, Jeanene and Juan and a step-daughter, Kisha Hairston, all of Albany. He is the brother of Bobby Morris, Robert Armbrestser, Dorothy (Clarence) Smalls, all of Albany and Larry Armbrester of Talladega, AL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Lester was predeceased by two sisters, Linda Faye and Emma Sue Armbrester.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home
