ALBANY – Levi D. Malloy, 74, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Levi was born on March 29, 1935 in Sanford, NC and was the son of the late Bessie Lee (McIver) Malloy Richmond and James Allen Malloy.
Levi is survived by his children, Dean A. Terry (Elaine), Blanche M. Malloy, Sharon D. Malloy (Willis), Levi C. Malloy Jr., and Scott W. Malloy; his adopted sons, Anthony Smith and Edward Gaston; his sisters, Willamae Harrington, Mary Frances Allen, Barbara Jean Snipes and Anita Snipes; his brother, Vernell Richmond; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends and a very special friend, Ida Green. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean Allen Terry Malloy; his son, Ronald Fletcher Malloy; his brothers, James Lewis "Teddy" McIver, Lee Allen Malloy, David Lee Malloy, James Frank Malloy, Mallo Junior Malloy and George Harold Richmond and his sisters, Clara Olivia Richmond and Marilyn Richmond.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Johns Church of God in Christ, 94 Herkimer St., Albany. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Colonie.
