FLETCHER, LEW O., of Colonie/Cobleskill, NY, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 26, 2010 at age 71.
He was born in Concord New Hampshire on October 7, 1938, spending his formative years in Exeter, New Hampshire, and coming to the Albany area in the early 1960's after his time with US Navy as a submariner. He was an employee of Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation for 35 years, ending his career as a Line Supervisor in 1995. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge having served as Master of Lodges Kenneyetto in Broadalbin and Apollo-King Solomon's in Troy, and then served as NY State District Deputy Grand Master during the year of 2001-02.
He is survived by his three sons, Lawrence O. Fletcher and wife Amy of Brewerton NY; son, Scott B. Fletcher, living in Craryville, NY, and his son, Leeland A. Fletcher and wife Carin of Cobleskill, NY, and his five granddaughters, Mackenzie, Chelsea, Mikaelie, Chloe, and Mandy, one great grandson, Liam; and two sisters, Lynne Hilton of Newmarket NH and Susan Pasquini of Nassau NY, and four nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Friday 6:00pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
