ALBANY-Lewis E. "Louie" Parker, 76, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 19, 2016.
Louie was born in Albany, NY, on January 16, 1940 to the late Joseph and Kathryn Parker. Louie worked in demolition for the City of Albany for many years, and then went on to work as a truck driver for various contractors in the Capital District. Louie will be remembered as a man of simple taste. He loved the racetrack, his Lucky Strikes, and cold Guinness.
He is predeceased by his niece, Kathryn E. Parker.
He is survived by his loving brother, Doug (Barb) Parker, his nephews; Dougie Parker, Russ Parker, and Thomas Parker, his niece, Krystal Parker and his great nieces and nephews; Maryssa Parker, Russ Parker Jr. and Za'Veyon Parker.
Louie's family would like to thank his dear friends, especially Judi Van Vorse, and June McCabe, who took such good care of him during his last few years.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
