Colonie – Lewis Maxwell Silverman, 74, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 surrounded by his loving family.
Lewis was born in Troy, on October 22, 1934 to the late Abraham and Frances Silverman. He worked for John G. Meyers in Albany then continued on to work for South Colonie School District where he retired after 30 years in 1990. He then founded his own company, Maxwell Masonry. In his free time, Lewis enjoyed gardening and automobile restoration.
Lewis is survived by his wife of 34 years, Margaret; his children, Susan Silverman (Michael) Neagle and William David (Ericka) Silverman. He is the loving grandfather of Lucas Cole Silverman.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Memory's Garden, Colonie.
