Lila E. Knost

COLONIE – Lila E. Knost, 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at her home.
Lila was born on October 13, 1916 in Leaksville, NC to the late Albert M. and Lettie S. Martin Richardson.
Lila worked in retail sales for the former Almart Department Store in Colonie for many years. Prior to that, she had worked as an inspector at Mohawk Carpet in Amsterdam.
Lila is survived by her husband of 67 years, Henry W. Knost. She is the mother of Joseph A. Knost and Sue Knost. Grandmother of James Knost and Lorinda Jensis and great grandmother of Brittany and Ashlee Jensis. Sister of Porter Joseph Richardson and Billy J. Richardson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 Noon at the New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
