Lillian C. Casavant

Lillian (Ceceil) Casavant, 85, of Colonie passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024. 

Lillian was born in Bristol, VT on February 15, 1939 to the late Benjamin and Dora (Baillargeon) Cousino. She married her beloved husband of 60 years, John Casavant while he served in the U.S. Navy. Eventually settling in Colonie, NY Lillian and John had three children together, Stephen Casavant (Teresa),Theresa Wright (Jonathan) and Nicole Monty (Marc). 

She graduated as a registered nurse, spending the majority of her career practicing at Teresian House Nursing Home. Over the years, Lillian enjoyed various hobbies such as ceramics, crocheting, cross-stitch and watching a good football or basketball game. Gifting her beautiful creations gave her great joy. She also enjoyed spending time at their “Summer Place” in Brant Lake, NY. 

Lillian was predeceased by her parents, her brother Charles, her brother George and her sister Evelyn. 

In addition to her husband and children, Lillian leaves behind seven grandchildren, Stephen, Tyler and Joshua Casavant, Jaime Wright (Nate), Taylor Wright, Samantha and Ryan Monty, as well as her sisters Vivian Fontaine and Rita Cousino. 

Lillian has always been deeply rooted in her Catholic faith. No matter the challenge, she always knew which Saint to pray to. 

A visitation will be held on Monday December 30th from 1:30-3:30pm with a service to follow at 3:30pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd Colonie NY 12205.
