Lillian M. Gasiorowski, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 21, 2009 at Albany Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Albany the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Ristau and was a lifelong area resident. Lillian worked for New York Telephone for over 30 years. She was a very active member of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) and was a lifelong member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed her active life and her family lovingly referred to her as a black-belt bingo player. Lillian and her husband Stanley, who predeceased her in October of 2002, were a part of, what Tom Brokaw called "America's Greatest Generation". They had a tireless work ethic and sacrificed to make a better life for their children.
She is survived by her three sons: Stanley (Kathleen) Gasiorowski, Jr., Michael (Karen) Gasiorowski, Joseph Gasiorowski and granddaughter Stephanie. Lillian also leaves behind her loving sister and lifelong friend Olga and Olga's husband Elias "Babe"Amash and several nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends are invited to the graveside service Monday 11:00am June 1, 2009 at Saratoga National Cemetery.
