ROTTERDAM—Lillian Marie (Klecar) Faber, 91, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 11, 2011.
Lillian was born in New York City, a daughter of the late Gustave and Frances Smakal Klecar. Following graduation from Bogota High School in New Jersey, she was employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in New York City for five years. She was a farmer's wife and homemaker, caring for her husband and children in Monroe and Downsville, NY. Lillian retired to Deltona, FL in 1980 and returned to upstate New York in 1998. Lillian enjoyed family and friends and always had the coffee pot on.
She was predeceased in June 1988 by her beloved husband, Andrew Faber, whom she married on October 3, 1943; sister, Frances Anna (Klecar) Hodges.
Survivors include her children, Frances Mary (Faber) Gross and her husband John A. of Schenectady and Kenneth Andrew Faber and his wife Sonja (Brooker) of Spotsylvania, VA; grandchildren, William John Gross, Eric Andrew Gross, Kari Ellen (Faber) Case, Jason Andrew Faber, Angela (Faber) Sargent; several great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 1 PM at the New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home, Tuesday from 10 AM to 1 PM. Burial will be in Paige Cemetery, Colchester, NY.
