GUILDERLAND – Lillian Lee Stainkamp, of Guilderland, passed away on Saturday February 20, 2009 at her residence after a long illness. She was born in Philadelphia and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Pauline Siegel.
Along with her husband Francis and her daughter Bonnie, Lee resided in Ellenville, NY and New York City before moving to Guilderland where they have been for over 30 years. Lee was active with the Guilderland Library and the YMCA. She was well known and well loved throughout the community.
Lee is the beloved wife of Francis P. Stainkamp. She is the devoted mother of Bonnie Leonardi and her husband Roy. Cherished grandmother of Frank and Ben Leonardi.
A celebration of Lee's life will be held on Saturday February 28, 2009 at the Heritage Village Clubhouse in Guilderland from 1 to 3 pm. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Lee Stainkamp.
