Linda S. Dalton, 74, of Albany, NY, passed away after a long battle with cancer Sunday, April 7, 2024, with her children by her side.
Linda was predeceased by her husband, Patrick J. Dalton.
Born on April 2, 1950, to William H. and Audrey B. Mayer in Queens, NY.
Linda graduated from SUNY Albany with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. She worked for Key Bank for 35 years. She worked for the Albany City School District as a crossing guard for 36 years (retired 2023). Linda was a volunteer for many years at Our Lady of the Americas Church (formerly St. Patrick's Parish).
Survivors include her sons: Shawn (Melissa), Nicholas, Justin and daughter, Alicia (Dave); one grandson, Tyler Dalton; brother, William (J); sister, Pam (Don); brother in law's: Dave (Claire) Matt, Brian, Peter, Mike; sister-in-law Susan, and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother in laws: Christopher, Kevin; sister-in-law Vanessa, and nephew TJ.
Friends and family are welcome to gather on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 11:00 am - 12:00pm, with a service to follow at Our Lady of the Americas, 273 Central Ave., Albany NY 12206. The burial will be arranged at the convenience of the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Community Hospice Foundation, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany NY 12208.
