Linda J. Healey

Linda Jean Healey (Burroughs), 75, passed away Friday April 21, 2023 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born in Albany to the late Jean and Raymond Burroughs. Linda was a graduate of Central high school in Colonie and Mildred Elley. She worked as a secretary for the University of Albany for over 30 years full time and continued to work part time until December of 2009.

Linda loved working in the gardens, spending time with family and friends and in 2002 she discovered she had a natural talent of sketching in pencil, pen and ink.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 39 years, James F. Healey in 2012, brother Alan Burroughs, stepson James Tucker, and son in law Wes Holloman in 2021.

She is survived by her loving daughter Colleen (Matthew) Luke of Clifton Park, step daughters Kim Holloman of Panama City, Fl, Barbara (Robert) Janney of Summerville, SC, siblings Daniel (Brenda) Burroughs of Festus, MO, Judy (Michael) Elliot of Romulus, NY, grandchildren Melanie and John Luke, step grandchildren Matthew Kolp, Jeremy and Cory Janney, Andrew Kodesh, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers in law, step great grandchildren and friends that she considered family.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the nurses, aids and doctors at Albany Medical Center D3N who provided exceptional care.

A visitation will be held on Friday April 28th from 930am-1130am with a service to follow at 1130am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd, Watervliet NY 12189.
