Linda Kirtley

Albany- Linda A. Kirtley, 58, passed away Thursday, September 17th 2015 with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Betty Clavette.

Linda is survived by her husband of 41 years Stephen J. Kirtley, her two children Stephen Kirtley (Leslie) and Christina Kirtley-Martin (Nathan). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Tiana, Isaiah and Elijah Kirtley. Linda is also survived by her sister Sylvia and predeceased by her brother Leo Jr. Linda also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Linda worked 28 years for the Albany Police Department and was also an active member of the Polish American Citizens Club. She enjoyed family functions and loved being around her grandchildren who lit up her world. She also had many hobbies and interests; garage sales, gardening, road trips, charity work for St. Jude's, visiting the Racino. Linda had a big heart and helped everyone who was in need. She was a second mother to many and a friend to all.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105)or the Albany County Community Hospice.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her nurse Doris and her home health aide Rebecca for their care and compassion during Linda's illness. Thank you to all the staff at the Albany County Community Hospice and all their volunteers.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 20th 2015 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road Albany, NY 12205. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206 on Monday, September 21st, 2015.
