Linda Lee Mckinley

Guilderland- Linda Lee McKinley, 59, born and raised in Guilderland, NY passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 15, 2016, surrounded by her loving family and dearest friends.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Michael J. McKinley, Sr. of Guilderland, NY; her cherished children, Robert (Stephany) McKinley of Voorheesville, NY, Michael Jr. (Megan) McKinley of Berne, NY, and her youngest daughter Michelle McKinley of Guilderland, NY. She is also survived by her 3 adored grandchildren, Layla McKinley, Maya McKinley, and Jude McKinley.

Linda was pre-deceased by her parents Harry and Virginia Lieberman of Guilderland, NY, and her oldest daughter Martha McKinley of Guilderland, NY.

She is survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews, including those she considered family.

Linda was a very loving and caring person, graduating from GHS, she went on creating her family and living a life full of love, care, and compassion for those around her. In her later years she continued her education for many years before finally receiving her biggest accomplishment, Master's Degree in Anthropology from Empire State College during her mid-50s.

Linda was a very strong, spirited person who believed in always making the best of life regardless of the situation. Her kind, loving, and sometimes goofy ways will surely be missed by those who knew and loved her. As Linda would always say in the hardest of times, "there is nothing you can do in the past to change the current, but you can choose the path you want to walk down and make the best of what life hands you".

Calling hours will be held from 4-7pm with a memorial service immediately following on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home in Colonie, NY.
