Linda L. Marek

Linda L. Marek, 74 of Charlton, passed away Wednesday 09/28/22 after a long courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Linda was born in Arlington, VA to the late John Philip and Dorothy (Balcom) Wilkins.

Linda was raised in Schenectady and was a graduate of Linton High School. Linda married James D. Marek in 1984 and together they raised her most precious gift to the world, Stetson D. Marek. Linda loved God, her Country and the many special men in her life that honored and served the USA. Linda retired from General Electric after over 20 years of service. After that, she took time to enjoy her house in the country, visiting with her family and grandchildren, flowers and gardens, coffee and sitting in the sunshine.

She looked forward to her annual trip to the track with "the girls" and in her earlier years, taking Stetson to her family reunions in Buffalo, NY. One of Linda's best friends was her brother Jesse. Whether it was just visiting or taking her to her appointments and treatments, she always loved her time with him.

Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, John and James Wilkins. Linda leaves behind her brother Jesse Wilkins, loving husband James, children Stetson, David (Jennifer) Marek, Melissa Wilcox (Michael) multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
